This summer, we are thrilled to present an exhibition of new works by Tony Abeyta, a celebrated Diné (Navajo) contemporary artist whose mixed-media paintings explore the profound intersections of culture, tradition, and personal expression. Drawing upon his rich heritage as a member of a distinguished family of artists, Tony’s works engage with both the past and present, reflecting his deep-rooted connections to the Navajo community and his role as an innovator in contemporary Native American art. 

Tony Abeyta is known for his mastery of diverse mediums, from charcoal and oil to acrylics and silversmithing. His practice transcends traditional boundaries, inviting viewers to experience the vibrancy of Diné culture through a modern lens. Abeyta’s works have earned recognition in esteemed institutions, including the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian, the Boston Fine Arts Museum, and the Denver Art Museum, among others.
